Thank You Very Much....

First of all I'd like to express my undying love and gratitude to Oklahoma snow days. Although they don't happen often, when they do - they are oh so predicable. Here's the lowdown on what happens. 1. People catches wind of snow/sleet/hail and spreads the news like wildfire throughout UCO, informing friends, family, professors, people on the street that "It's supposed to snow on Thursday". After the important first step of the "rumor" of snow everyone FREAKS THE CRAP OUT. Everyone seems to be talking about the weather and how school is going to be closed or the roads will be bad. Then either one of two things happens. The rumor actually true and the weather does get bad or NOTHING HAPPENS and it's 60 degrees the next day. Fortunately for me, the former is true.

SO. Since the weather is actually taken a turn for the worse, all the beautiful ladies in the sorority house load up and head to our local Wal-mart to stock up. On junk food. I guess it is automatically okay to eat an entire bag of Oreos because it's snowing outside. This year Wal-Mart was sold out of BREAD. How does that even happen? There was no meat, cheese, milk, etc. So we are forced to buy Cheez-its and Diet Coke. Then we make the trek back to the sorority house and set up camp.

I know what you're thinking. "How can staying in a house full of thirty girls- with nothing to do- be fun?" Well let me tell you, the sorority house is almost the best place to stay. We've made a mattress slide down the stairs, watched movies, talked until the sun came up. And just because the roads are icy and dangerous doesn't mean we can't go out and drink.

So this year. It's Thursday afternoon and we're home free until Monday morning. Let the craziness begin!!

The mattress slide last year:
